The Fool

"The fool hath said in his heart there is no God" Psalms 14:1 KJV

Atheism is a fool's sin.

The apostle Paul refers to this same Psalm in Romans chapter 3 to prove the every person in the whole world is corrupt with sin. In our hearts we are all in some sense atheists. Our text verse can be descriptive of the two types of atheism. The first type I want to look at is absolute atheism. This is the person, who with their mouth professes there is no God.

A man who does is a fool. There are many things that prove there is a God. Man’s desire to worship someone or something shows there is a higher power. No matter what society you look at throughout history man will worship some thing. Creation and the harmony in which the world operates proves there is a God.

The existence of man proves there is a God. Some fools look to science to destroy God and creation. Just the opposite is true. Science proves that there is a creator. If there is no God then there is no such thing as right and wrong. For there to be a law there must be a lawgiver.

The atheist makes himself to be God by embracing some of the truth as long as he is in charge of which portion he believes. He decides what is right for himself. This sounds fine, however we could not have a society run this way. It will self destruct in a short time. There are also practical atheists.

These are fools who believe in the existence of God. They believe that Jesus Christ was His son. They believe that the Bible is completely true. However they practice atheism by disregarding what it says. They live as if there is no God.

No God for me is their battle cry. These fools have no time for prayer, church, Bible reading, etc. The atheist is a sad person. If he is wrong he hast lost every thing. If he is right he has gained nothing.

What a fool, what a fool!
